Tori started off the month taking the girls to a movie on a rainy Friday. She said that at one point in the movie she looked over at Nellie and she was sitting there without a shirt on! Apparently she spilled part of her drink on her shirt (she HATES being wet) so she just took it off and was watching the movie topless. You can't make this stuff up :)

Mila finished her hip hop class with a recital and was so excited for daddy to come watch.
Before, she told me she wanted to send a video to Charlie so afterwards we picked a video to send. She asked me every two seconds if his mom had texted back yet and when she did she said Charlie said, "she looks so cute." And Mila about lost her mind she was so excited:
A couple days later when we were driving home from preschool she said "Mom. You know what I keep thinking of? Charlie said I am cute. I keep thinking about it and it makes me smile." How cute/terrifying is that?!
She has been doing homework worksheets on the weekend and we have started practicing sight words. Miss Tori gave her a notebook in her Easter basket and she had written "words" (BLAD, LOLO, SCRA, etc) in them and was disappointed because she was "trying to write words like mom." I gave her a pack of sight words and she started writing those down and sounding them out and was so proud of herself. Hard to believe Kindergarten is right around the corner and she will be reading in no time.
Both girls had an Easter party and egg hunt at school and were so proud of their treasures and the eggs they found. We are actually doing the Easter egg hunt at our house for the first time this year (we usually do it in Palmdale) because we leave tomorrow for vacation.
Nellie is working on her manners (well I guess we are making her work on them) and how to take a deep breath before getting frustrated. It's amazing how crazy she can be and then just one second later be so calm and peaceful. She is such a little tornado and we all just have to hang on for the ride.
She's never shy, as Mila was, and loves dressing up, performing and making us laugh; the only caveat is that all eyes have to be on her. If that's the case, she's happy as can be; if not, she will make sure you're watching her (usually by whining or being a crazy person). Every time I see her performing, I wonder if it's a phase or if she will grow up to do something in that profession.
She has also learned how to draw people, which makes coloring more exciting for her. My heart melted over this family photo (not sure why I am sitting on a rock tho!):
She has also really taken to Roscoe this month; whereas previously she would yell at him, ignore him and all but hit him every time he walked by her, she is now obsessed with him. She loves staring at his face, giving him hugs and being concerned with his red eye.
One night after dinner she spent a solid half hour being a dog and doing everything that Roscoe did, including peeing outside in the backyard! Note: she DID ask first; Robert thought I was crazy letting her do it but I was proud of her imagination...plus, it's not like he hasn't done that before during an afternoon of drinking!
The girls continue to play well together, allowing for a few blowups on who gets to play with what, but overall are really enjoying each other's company, which is great for us all.

March Madness is in full effect over here and, as I type this, we are waiting for the Kansas/Villanova game to start. The girls are really into cheering for the Jayhawks this season, even Nellie who is now choosing Jayhawk outfits on her own, where previously she would yell "Jayhawks are going to lose!!!" every time I told her it was game day.
What we're looking forward to next month: Spring Break trip to Flying Flags RV Resort, Mila starts gymnastics, Nellie starts soccer, my possible first chance at jury duty and Clint Black with Robert's parents!
