Mila is such a little go getter and is literally never still for more than a minute or two at a time. She has recently figured out how to spin in circles (thanks, partially, to Kira I think!) and will do it so many times that she falls down and giggles. She loves to help put anything away and move from one thing to another thing (i.e. bringing dishes from the dishwasher over to the cabinet to be put away or from the laundry hamper to the basket to take to the washing machine).
She is still blabbering all the time, not really saying much that we understand but she has added “eat” to her vocabulary, which is not surprising given her LOVE of food.
It’s truly amazing that she understands SO much, probably because she can’t communicate back yet and you wouldn’t think she could get what you’re saying but she really does. It’s very rare we will ask her to do something (simple) and she won’t do it or doesn’t understand what we’re saying.
We spent Thanksgiving in Palmdale with Robert’s parents and had a great time.
The Friday after Thanksgiving, while everyone was out shopping, Robert and I put up our tree while Mila was napping, saving all the non-breakable ornaments for when she woke up. She was quite the little helper going back and forth from the ornament box to the tree.
We also had our Christmas photos taken down in Laguna Beach by my talented best friend, Aimee. It’s getting harder and harder to get Mila to sit still so it’s amazing we were able to get this great family picture!
Note: contrary to Robert's concern that, since Roscoe wasn't in the picture but his name is on the card would lead people to think that I am currently pregnant with a little boy we will name Roscoe, Roscoe the dog is still alive and well and not, in fact, our next child.
We’re all enjoying the Christmas music around here, including Mila and Kira. Check out this to-die-for video of them dancing with this Christmas duck.
My parents arrived this week and are quickly spoiling Mila already. We will celebrate Christmas Eve with my parents and spend the night at our house to get in the tradition of Santa Claus so we’re home Christmas morning; then we will drive to Palmdale to celebrate with Robert’s side of the family.
What a difference a year makes! We are so excited for Mila’s first real Christmas!
