Nursery Sneak Peak

Robert and I have been verrrrry busy today!  The nursery is 90% of the way done; I just am waiting on a few little things to come in, as well as the bedding, and then it will be time for the big reveal.

Here's a little something to tide you over (and my current favorite part!):

26 Weeks

How far along? 26 weeks
Total weight gain: 20 lbs
Maternity clothes? maternity clothes on the weekend, regular clothes at work
Stretch marks? none...so far so good thanks to my regimen
Sleep: have been sleeping horribly this week :(
Best moment this week: we found out who Mila's future husband will be!
Worst moment this week: not sleeping good
Miss anything? sitting in the sun, drinking a pear cider. still.
Movement: lots of movement and some kicks. you're supposed to feel 10 kicks within 30min-2 hours to be normal, I have been feeling 10 kicks in about 17min!
Food cravings: none
Anything making you queasy or sick? no but i am back to not being able to eat much chicken
Have you started to show yet: yep
Gender prediction: it's a girl!
Labor signs: no...thank goodness!
Belly button in or out? still in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time? more moody this week. There was a breakdown incident where I started sobbing after Robert wouldn't tell me the truth about if he liked the dinner I made
Looking forward to: going home July 6th-9th.  Not only do I get to see my family my sister and Susan are also throwing me a baby shower AND my two best friends just happen to be in town at the same time as me!  And our 3D ultrasound is Monday, time to see her gorgeous lil face!

Doctor's Appt - 25 Weeks

Our doctor's appointment went good today, nothing really new to report.  Baby is healthy and well. When she was listening to the heartbeat she thought there might be an irregular heartbeat but turns out it was just hiccups.

We:

• got our hospital pre-admission forms
• discussed what contractions feel like and when to worry about pre-term labor (apparently if I haven't felt a Braxton Hicks contraction by week 33 I will go past my due date). Braxton Hicks: comes and goes, doesn't feel like a menstrual cramp.  Real contraction: stomach tightens like a ball and feels like a cramp
• discussed whether I am at risk for pre-term labor (I'm not)
• talked about my glucose test, which I need to have done before my next appointment.  I just assumed I would have it done today but apparently I have to go to a lab, drink sugar water, sit there for an hour and then have my blood drawn.  Let's hope I pass because, if not, I have to go back for a 3 hour screening where they take blood 4 times. Yikes.
• went over baby kicks, how to count them and to make sure after week 28 I feel them all the time, otherwise I will need to let my doctor know
• found out our doctor is the one that does the C-section if needed

Good thing I wrote all of this down, it's a lot to remember!

25 Weeks

While it may be no surprise to some of you but I am not the best at math and of course that has come to affect my pregnancy!  Come to find out, I am actually beginning my SEVENTH MONTH this week! I have been under the impression (and telling anyone that asks) that I was starting my 6th month.  So all those times in the past I have actually been a month further along than I thought. That being said, I can now forgive the waitress at the golf course in Hilton Head who said "I see," got wide-eyed and nodded when I told her I was 5 1/2 months; had she known I was really 6 1/2 months I am sure she would have said "damn girl! you look good!"...or at least that's how I am going to play it out in my head :)

How far along? 25 weeks
Total weight gain: 18 lbs
Maternity clothes? maternity clothes on the weekend, regular clothes at work
Stretch marks? none...so far so good
Sleep: sleeping pretty good this week!
Best moment this week: finding out I am actually 7 months along now...although that DOES make things a little scarier too!
Worst moment this week: my feet have started hurting a little if I am on them too long
Miss anything? sitting in the sun, drinking a pear cider. still.
Movement: lots of "rolling" movement but no actual kicks...yet
Food cravings: none (i'm kind of sad about this...i was hoping to crave some weird stuff!)
Anything making you queasy or sick? nope
Have you started to show yet: yessir. although some days i think it's bigger than others...is that weird?
Gender prediction: it's a girl!
Labor signs: no...thank goodness!
Belly button in or out? still in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy, although my patience wears VERY then VERY fast lately
Looking forward to: getting our 3D/4D ultrasound on July 2nd

24 Weeks

How far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain: 18 lbs
Maternity clothes? still in a little of both maternity and regular
Stretch marks? none
Sleep: sleeping pretty good this week!
Best moment this week: seeing my mom, dad and sister's reaction to feeling Mila move
Worst moment this week: tie: plane rides back from Hilton Head and saying goodbye to my family
Miss anything? sitting in the sun, drinking a pear cider. still.
Movement: lots of "rolling" movement but no actual kicks
Food cravings: none (i'm kind of sad about this...i was hoping to crave some weird stuff!)
Anything making you queasy or sick? nope
Have you started to show yet: yessir. although some days i think it's bigger than others...is that weird?

23 Weeks

Hello from Hilton Head, South Carolina!  Yay for vacations. I didn't think a post would happen this week but with the help of sissy's Blackberry we have a pic.

How far along? 23 weeks
Total weight gain: unknown...it's inappropriate to weigh yourself when on vacation
Maternity clothes? not while in South Carolina...sizing here is MUCH bigger than it is in California!  I just bought a SIZE 4 non-maternity dress at old navy! SIZE 4 NON-MATERNITY! (I may consider moving to SC for this reason)
Stretch marks? none
Sleep: Been sleeping pretty good but I have been waking up at 5am every day. boo.
Best moment this week: finding out Beyonce gained 60lbs when she was pregnant
Worst moment this week: seeing Beyonce's 4mo post-pregnancy body after losing 60lbs
Miss anything? sitting in the sun, drinking a pear cider
Movement: lots of movement this week (but not where I can see her moving from the outside yet)
Food cravings: none
Anything making you queasy or sick? nope

22 Weeks

Total weight gain: 15 pounds
Maternity clothes? Loving leggings and all dresses, maternity and non-maternity
Stretch marks? none
Sleep: Actually slept really great this week
Best moment this week: my parents closed escrow on a condo in Huntington Beach!!!!!
Worst moment this week: weight gain :-/
Miss anything? sitting in the sun, drinking a pear cider.
Movement: yes! her kicks and punches are getting much stronger than the original "pulse" I first felt
Food cravings: none but I ate a lot of ice cream in AZ
Anything making you queasy or sick? not really
Have you started to show yet: sporting a baby bump now
